FC-120
The FC-120 clay is a special selection for sanitaryware. It is very fast casting and is designed to use in combination with the C-33A or other finer particle size distribution clay. The FC-120 provides excellent casting rate in a sanitaryware formula while maintaining a long plasticity range for trimming and finishing operations. The unique mineralogy of FC-120 also provides god dry strength by comparison to the fast casting rate.
FC-340
The FC-340 clay is designed for all types of casting formulas ranging from low fire earthenware to vitreous composition. It has excellent response to deflocculation and a very good casting rate while maintaining plasticity and dry strength qualities. FC-340 can be used as the complete ball clay content in a casting body or used in combination with a fine particle size distribution ball clay to improve the casting properties of the formulation.
M-23
This is a very high quality porcelain grade ball clay. It has fine particle size distribution for excellent plasticity and strength in pressing or plastic forming application. the low Fe2O3 and TiO2 provide high fired brightness to vitreous ceramic compositions. M-23 also has low carbon content for excellent oxidation qualities.
MCB-11
A clay with excellent kaolin content and virtually no carbon content. It is highly plastic with excellent fired brightness and is an excellent clay for a variety of ceramic glaze and porcelain compositions.
S-4
The S-4 clay is designed for all types of casting formulas ranging from low fire earthenware to vitreous compositions. It has excellent response to deflocculation and very good casting rate while maintaining plasticity and dry strength qualities. The S-4 can be used as the complete ball clay content in a casting body or used in combination with a fine particle size distribution ball clay to improve the casting properties of the formulation.
Taylor Blend
A highly plastic clay suitable for a variety of extruded, pressed, or casting ceramic formulations. It is a fine PSD clay with low carbon content and excellent fired brightness.
Thomas
Thomas clay is similar to Volunteer clay and has established an excellent history of performance in stoneware and low fire (talc base) plastic and casting formulas. The diverse combination of clays provide enhanced plasticity to a ceramic composition through increased particle packing density. Thomas clay has very good fired brightness and oxidation qualities.
TI-21
TI-21 is a very low carbon content clay specifically designed for plastic forming methods. It has excellent oxidation qualities particularly for dense volume stoneware or vitreous ceramic pieces. The excellent plasticity provides outstanding jigger, ram pressing or hand throwing qualities to the formulation. The Fe2O3 and TiO2 content produces a cream white fired color for enhancing a stoneware appearance to the formula.
Volunteer
A versatile clay selection for casting, pressing, or plastic forming process methods. It is similar to M-23 in mineralogy with slightly more organic content. Volunteer has very good plasticity and is an excellent selection in ceramic formulas requiring a fine particle size distribution ball clay.
